Assess the records your business already creates.
Operational history can contain valuable examples of how work gets done. We help assess whether selected records could support a licensing opportunity, and what preparation and permissions would be required.
A useful starting point
- An established workflow with a meaningful history of cases.
- Records that connect the original request, context, actions and outcome.
- An owner or authorised person who can arrange a rights review.
- A clear account of previous licensing and known restrictions.
What needs closer review
- Customer and employee information, recordings and confidential material.
- Third-party documents, contractor work and licensed content.
- Missing outcomes, disconnected records or uncertain permissions.
- Existing exclusivity, customer agreements and sector-specific duties.
Commercial approach
The agreement defines what moves—and what stays.
A licence can cover a selected historical dataset or an agreed schedule of updates. Scope, recipients, purposes, term, territory, onward use and any exclusivity are negotiated separately. Ownership and rights retained must be explicit.
Agree costs and payment first.
We discuss preparation costs, CEOBuySell’s role and fees, acceptance criteria and payment triggers before a paid engagement. There is no published earnings promise or automatic buyer acceptance.
Protect future flexibility.
Existing licences may matter during a future business sale. Stopping future supply, deleting delivered copies and ending the use of trained models are different questions that require express terms.
Potential uses include AI training and evaluation.
Selected datasets may be licensed to AI developers, research organisations or enterprise teams. We establish the intended uses during qualification and document permitted uses before supply. Your enquiry is not permission to extract, share or train on any records.
Initial qualification
Tell us what the records capture.
Approximate figures are fine. If you are unsure about permissions or sensitivity, say so; those are assessment questions, not a reason to make an unsupported declaration.
Assess your data opportunity
Describe the opportunity. Do not submit raw datasets, customer or employee details, confidential documents, or credentials. Fields marked * are required.
Read our privacy notice before submitting. An enquiry grants no data, licensing or AI training rights.
